It’s 20 Years In The Good Beer Guide!
We really take our Real Ales, Ciders and Perries seriously and it’s great to know that there are good folks out there that love them as much as we do. This is my second year in the book, and my predecessor, Jim, did a great job of looking after the beers to get us this far. Since I bought the Old Exeter we’ve made some changes to how we dispense our Real Ales and Real Ciders (and Perry). Everything is now served on Gravity from the bar, directly from the granite stillage built into the medieval fireplace in the front room. So that’s Ales from the barrel (at the perfect temperature thanks to our specialist cooling system) and Ciders/Perries at room temperature. You can taste the difference. Bootiful!
