Best Selling Author Chris Humphreys popped over to Ashburton from his home in Canada in March 2022 to give us a rather special reading of his novel, The French Executioner, on the 20th Anniversary of its publication.

Chris is a very good friend of the owner of the Old Exeter Inn who provided Chris with a comfortable room at his inn in Yorkshire back in 2007, when Chris was on a Reading Circuit having just published his spine chilling account of Dracula – Vlad: The Last Confession. David still has the signed hardback copy which he’s just noticed is worth a fair bit of money! Thanks Chris and we look foward to seeing you again soon, when you may become our Author in Residence!
