Last year, we were delighted to welcome guests from Israel, Gibraltar, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Holland, Poland, Norway; the United States, Canada, Brazil; South Africa, Zimbabwe; New Zealand, Australia; Japan; India. Our ‘distant friends’.
Closer to home, visitors from all over Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And our ‘very locals’ – the kind and decent people of this town, the moor and surrounding villages, and the folks who drive from as far as Bristol and Penzance to enjoy our hospitality.

Spare a thought
These are hard times for pubs, hotels, restaurants, farmers, fishermen and high street retailers. It should not be so. But the energy, talent and strength of the British people will not be wasted. We continue to plan for the future in our beautiful country – it’s hard, but we keep the faith. Small businesses are the backbone of this nation. Long may they continue.
